The Moody Foundation Donates $2 Million to Name Moody Plaza

DALLAS (April 15, 2013)—The Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation has surpassed its $110 million capital campaign goal with a $2 million donation from The Moody Foundation to name Klyde Warren Park’s grand plaza, Moody Plaza. The 5.2-acre deck park successfully opened in October 2012 and has since drawn more than 350,000 visitors to enjoy free, outdoor activities in the center of Dallas. Read More

Klyde Warren Park President Mark Banta Resigns

DALLAS (January 25, 2013)—The Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation announced today that Mark Banta, who has served as the park’s president for the last eleven months, has decided to step down effective March 1. Chef John Coleman to open restaurant at Klyde Warren Park

Chef John Coleman has landed the most coveted Dallas restaurant location for his first solo venture, Savor and Relish at Klyde Warren Park, the 5-acre deck park built over the freeway between Uptown and Downtown Dallas. Savor, a gastropub concept with an emphasis on fresh food and a shared experience, will be the main restaurant at the park. Relish will be its companion kiosk offering quick fare for dining outdoors. Six Thousand Free Wristbands to The Concert for Dallas Now Available

Signature show of Klyde Warren Park Opening Weekend features The Polyphonic Spree and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue Approximately 6,000 free general admission wristbands will be made available at 10 a.m. CST tomorrow (Oct. 9) to The Concert for Dallas Presented by Deloitte, the signature music festival highlighting the Klyde Warren Park Grand Opening Celebration Presented by Chase and J.P. Morgan. The show, slated for Saturday, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m. in Klyde Warren Park, features performances by Grammy-nominated Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue and Dallas indie rock icons, The Polyphonic Spree.
