One Day, Eighteen Hours, So Many Reasons to “Heart” the Park!

Although the park is built, it costs roughly $3.5 million to run the park each year. “North Texas Giving Day is an excellent way for the park to share our story that we continue to need the public’s support to keep the park clean, safe, and active,” says Klyde Warren Park president Tara Green. “Gifts received through North Texas Giving day combined with our “I Heart the Park” annual fund campaign allow us to provide free programs and events in the park that are enjoyed by over one million people annually.”

On September 17, during North Texas Giving Day, the park will offer eighteen continuous hours of free programming in an effort to highlight the many ways visitors “heart” the park. The day will begin with 6 am boot camp, and include free activities that highlight all that the park has to offer, such as Imagination Playground, special lunchtime activities, a Music Thursday concert, Karaoke on the Southwest Porch, and a few surprises along the way!

“Klyde Warren Park is excited to participate in North Texas Giving Day for a third year. Our goal is to more than double our giving totals from last year,” says Green. “We hope everyone will show how much they “heart” Klyde Warren Park by participating in North Texas Giving day and joining us for eighteen hours of free continuous programming.” says Green.
