by KTVT - Marianne Martinez
Woodall Rodgers Freeway is a sea of concrete and traffic. In two years, it will be an urban oasis.
Dallas City leaders met Monday morning for a groundbreaking of the deck park project.
It'll simply put more businesses, shoppers and residents into the energy that's in the downtown area.
Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert
Simply called The Park, the green space will be built over the existing Woodall Rodgers Freeway between Pearl and St. Paul. It will feature performance pavilions, a restaurant, dog park, jogging trails and a playground. More importantly, city leaders say it will be a "connector."
