There's a Mountain in Dallas Waiting to Be Ascended

It’s Saturday morning. You’re walking through the Park. You hear the music. You see the mountain – the Body Mountain Bootcamp class happening on the Ginsburg Family Great Lawn! Reidland Tucker, Founder of Body Mountain, leads Body Mountain Bootcamp every weekend at Klyde Warren Park. Interested in joining the journey up the mountain? We asked Reidland a few questions about Body Mountain Bootcamp and what participants can expect.

Q: Tell us a little bit about Body Mountain Bootcamp.
A: Body Mountain Bootcamp is an extension of the heart of Body Mountain - having a blast as a group, melting off the fat and getting fit. Our goal as a gym and fitness brand is to demystify the fitness journey and to put a smile on your face, no matter where you are on your fitness journey. A fun, short, full-body weight workout is what you’ll experience on Saturday mornings.

Q: Why did Body Mountain Bootcamp want to partner with Klyde Warren Park?
A: We love what Klyde Warren Park has done for Dallas, and it's an incredible opportunity to be right in the heart of our city and give people a sense of joy and excitement about life and fitness. Body Mountain is a local, private training studio in the Harwood district, and we wanted to give a piece of what we are about to our community.

Q: For the park-goers who are interested in Bootcamp, what can they expect during the program?
A: It's a 45-minute, complete Body Weight HIIT (high-intensity interval training) workout designed to get your heart rate up while shaping and toning muscle. It's an efficient, effective workout and blows the cap off any myth or excuse telling you, you can't workout.

We have people of all shapes, sizes and fitness experience, and we are very attentive to form (even with 50+ participants) and explaining it clearly, but all we want is your best effort!

We warm-up, always stretch, then perform usually 2 circuits, 3 rounds apiece, with an optional 1-minute bonus round that we like to make interactive. Making a new friend isn't uncommon!

Q: Is there anything those who want to attend the class need to bring or prepare for in advance?
A: Wear workout clothes and shoes of course, and it’s a good idea to bring a bottle of water!

Q: Why should people come to Body Mountain Bootcamp in the Park?
A: For one, it's FREE! In all practical senses, you get to start your Saturday with a fun, effective, short workout that's going to keep your body burning calories for the rest of the day. You can enjoy the rest of your weekend knowing you got your workout done! You don't have to guess what to do at the gym, all of the guesswork has been removed and you get to be outside in the heart of our beautiful city at a beautiful park. Not to mention you get to feel better about yourself, and maybe make some new friends.

Work out, feel good and climb that fitness mountain with Body Mountain Bootcamp! Body Mountain Bootcamp takes place every Saturday morning on the Muse Family Performance Pavilion from 9 – 10 a.m. Grab your gear and join in on the fun!
