Park & Palate Announces 2016 Lineup featuring Texas’ Top Culinary Talent

DALLAS, TX – Klyde Warren Park is excited to announce the full culinary lineup for its annual fundraiser, Park & Palate, on Friday, October 21 and Saturday, October 22. While Friday evening’s Down to the Roots fundraiser is a sell-out, tickets are now on sale for Saturday’s Grand Taste. Guests at the Grand Taste will be treated to feature tastings of spirits, craft cocktails, and beers, all against the backdrop of the distinctive Dallas skyline.

“We are thrilled to bring together such extraordinary talent for Klyde Warren Park’s premier fundraiser,” said Tara Green, President of Klyde Warren Park. “Saturday’s Grand Taste will showcase more than 30 of the region’s most popular chefs in a celebration of Texas’ culinary scene.”

Participants in this year’s Grand Taste event include four-time James Beard Award-nominated chef from Dallas Kent Rathbun, John Tesar of Knife, Dean Fearing of Fearing’s, 23-year veteran chef John Coleman of Savor Gastropub, and Jason Dady of the Jason Dady Restaurant Group in San Antonio. Park & Palate will also feature music from Platinum-selling, country music singer-songwriter and EMI Recording artist Eric Paslay, the Barbed Wires, Johnny Reno & the Rockets, and DJ Lucy. Additional talent includes featured bartender and restaurateur Michael Martensen and Flower Chef Carly Cylinder.

“More than one million guests enjoy the park each year,” said Park & Palate co-chair Rob Walters. “Thanks in large part to support from the business, philanthropic, and culinary communities, Klyde Warren Park serves as Dallas’ central gathering place where everyone is welcome.”

The chairs for this year’s event are Carolyn and Rob Walters, along with Lyn and John Muse. The Grand Taste will take place on Saturday, October 22 at Klyde Warren Park, located at 2012 Woodall Rodgers Freeway in downtown Dallas, Texas. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased online at www.parkandpalate.org. Proceeds will benefit Klyde Warren Park, which is managed by the nonprofit Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation.
