Klyde Warren Park Hosts Celebratory Weekend To Mark One Year Anniversary

To celebrate the first anniversary of its opening, Klyde Warren Park will host a weekend full of free family-friendly activities Oct. 24 – 27. In its first year, the park has welcomed close to one million visitors, held over 900 programs and hosted nearly 50 special events. With the park’s restaurant, Savor, and its companion kiosk, Relish, officially open, the park is now complete. Savor will host its grand opening this month. Read More

Music Road Records Debuts New Concert Series at Klyde Warren Park on May 23

Austin-based Music Road Records will debut its new concert series at Klyde Warren Park on May 23 with a performance by Garrett Lebeau. The new series, called Music Road Third Thursdays, will feature Texas-based singer-songwriters and is part of the Park’s yearlong music program, which brings free music to the Park every Thursday night. DALLAS (May 2, 2013)— Tara Green will serve as the new president of Klyde Warren Park, the five-acre deck park and free outdoor destination in the center of Dallas. Green recently served as chief revenue officer for American Airlines Center and vice president and chief operating officer of the North Texas Super Bowl XLV Host Committee. Read More

The Moody Foundation Donates $2 Million to Name Moody Plaza

DALLAS (April 15, 2013)—The Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation has surpassed its $110 million capital campaign goal with a $2 million donation from The Moody Foundation to name Klyde Warren Park’s grand plaza, Moody Plaza. The 5.2-acre deck park successfully opened in October 2012 and has since drawn more than 350,000 visitors to enjoy free, outdoor activities in the center of Dallas. Read More

New Jazz Series Debuts at Klyde Warren Park

Klyde Warren Park will showcase a series of jazz concerts beginning April 25 through May 16. Sponsored by Chase and produced by Uptown Jazz Dallas, this set of four concerts is part of the park’s Thursday night music series and will debut with Spyro Gyra, an American Jazz fusion band, on April 25. Klyde Warren Park President Mark Banta Resigns

DALLAS (January 25, 2013)—The Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation announced today that Mark Banta, who has served as the park’s president for the last eleven months, has decided to step down effective March 1. In his role as president, Banta was responsible for overseeing the successful park grand opening, construction completion, and the beginning of daily operations. Read More
