Connect with strangers around the World. For more information and an ongoing schedule visit www.sharedstudios.com/dallas.

Known for connecting the city’s Uptown and Downtown sectors, Klyde Warren Park is now helping its patrons make global connections, one conversation at a time. The Park is proud to host the Dallas Portal – an immersive audiovisual space people can step inside to connect with strangers around the world. Portals, created as a global public art initiative by Shared Studios, are physical structures that bring people together who would never otherwise meet.

When people enter the Dallas Portal, they come face-to-face with someone somewhere else on earth, live and full-body—as if in the same room. The Dallas Portal container can hold up to twelve people at a time and creates the feeling of being in the same space as someone in an identical container somewhere else on Earth.

The Dallas Portal will be in the Park until mid-May and throughout its duration will connect with a wide range of cities, including Berlin, Lagos, Mexico City, and Stockholm. For more information and an ongoing schedule click here.
