Deck Park Construction Moving Right Along

Construction of the deck park on top of Woodall Rodgers freeway is moving right along. Crews are about 80 percent finished with the crossbeams that span the 5.2-acre site and 40 percent of the waterproofing is complete. Once construction is completed, trees, plants, lawns and other outdoor touches will be added to turn the deck into a luxurious greenspace. On Thursday, we reported that the park will use 32 jet fans to improve air quality in the tunnel beneath the park. How cool, jet fans. The park is planned to be completed in the fall of 2012.
