Want to Join our Team? Internships Available!

by Annie Black

The Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation seeks highly-motivated and ambitious young professionals interested in exploring the parks business in a non-profit setting for internships covering the areas of park operations, programming, and marketing. Internship lengths are flexible, but are generally awarded on a three- to twelve-month basis, and can be full-time or part-time. Upon completion of the internship, outstanding interns may have opportunities for full-time employment.

The Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to develop and operate Klyde Warren Park to world-class standards. Klyde Warren Park, currently under construction, will be Dallas’s “town square” and the premier public space in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex.

Interns will work closely with Foundation staff and senior managers to plan and implement physical and programmatic improvements to Klyde Warren Park, troubleshoot operational problems, build and manage relationships with partnering institutions and businesses, and build awareness of the Park and its offerings among the public and the media. Interns will also offer some administrative support. Specific tasks and roles will be assigned based on the intern’s interest and experience, as well as the needs of the Foundation.

Interns should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, the ability and desire to work in a team environment and the ability to work independently with guidance from senior staff.

College students, graduate students and recent graduates of bachelors or masters programs are encouraged to apply.

Qualified candidates should submit cover letter and resume to hr@theparkdallas.org
