TxDOT and the Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation Host Press Conference with U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood
U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood held a press conference Monday, Nov. 30 at the construction site for The Park, the 5.2-acre urban green space that will deck over Woodall Rodgers Freeway in Dallas. The Park is the largest Texas project receiving funds under American Recovery and Reinvestment Act’s Transportation Enhancements program.
The event highlighted the $16.7 million of Recovery Act funding at work as well as the public, private partnership between the City of Dallas, TxDOT and the private sector.
Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson, Mayor Tom Leppert, Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation President Linda Owen and Archer Western Project Manager Troy Butt joined Sec. LaHood to celebrate the project’s progress.
