Saturday, December 3, 3 - 6 PM

We are excited to announce that Klyde Warren Park will be lighting “The Mayor’s Tree,” as part of our Saturday, December 3, Tree Lighting Celebration presented by Energy Transfer. This year, Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson is joining Santa for the honors of lighting the iconic holiday symbol. “The Mayor’s Tree” stands 48 feet tall, weighs almost 5,000 lbs. and will display 37,520 multi-colored LED lights and 3,836 multicolored ornaments. It will be positioned on the south end of Hart Boulevard, the Park’s main pedestrian thoroughfare, through January 9, 2023.

This free annual tradition includes a festive day of activities and entertainment, photos with Santa, story time with Mrs. Claus, face painting, crafts, games and snow flurries! The day culminates with a live show featuring performances of holiday music, visits from Santa’s friends Frosty and Rudolph, and, of course, Klyde Warren Park’s annual Christmas tree lighting.

If you are unable to attend Saturday’s Tree Lighting, you will still be able to celebrate with us by tuning into a 3-6 PM live stream on CBSDFW.com and CBS News DFW.
