Mixed media artist Katherine Baronet will guide participants in the creation of a 12 x 12 inch original collage masterpiece.
Couples Photo & Creative Frame Decorating by Audrey Williams:
In this fun and memorable activity, you’ll start by taking a couple's photo using a classic Polaroid camera. Once you have your instant print, embellish a frame for your photo with colorful paint pens. Use the paint pens to add personalized touches, doodles, or heartfelt messages to your frame. This hands-on activity not only captures a special moment but also allows you to create a keepsake that’s both meaningful and beautiful.

Mambo Miles is Back for Year 5!
This fun 5K starts and ends at Mi Cocina in Klyde Warren Park and is the perfect way to kick off your Summer.
Runners (and walkers!) will be greeted at the finish line with a Mambo Miles medal and Mi Cocina’s iconic frozen Mambo Taxi. After the race, hang out at the park and enjoy live music, food trucks, a tequila garden and more at the post-race party!

Teatro Performance in the Park

Pizcas is a bilingual touring show about migrant children working in agriculture in Texas. Pizcas is a poignant story about families and their children who labor in the fields of South Texas. Hear a condensed audio version in the link below. This play was written by Margarito Rodriguez. The touring production is performed by Lucila Rojas, directed by Alexandra Hernandez and composed by Eduardo Vélez III.

Proceeds from the event help support Klyde Warren Park’s free programming and the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas’ community initiatives, benefiting families across the region.
